The emphasis on this course will be to learn how to make and
then use some traditional native weaponry such as bow/arrow
making, sling-shot, flint/stone/obsidian flint arrowheads,
throwing stars, throwing sticks and spigots (bone dart missiles!)
We will consider the associative skills of the hunter and study
the art of getting close to wildlife through elementary tracking
exercises, and discover the tracks and signs left behind by the
diverse range of species that inhabit the wildwood. Time will
also be spent cultivating silent movement skills to enjoy wildlife
observation at close quarters.
All food is provided on this event.
