Just when you thought it was safe to go back
into the woods…..! All the usual ingredients plus this
time we’ll get to grips with primitive weaponry to make
the boys delirious with excitement and the dads nervous….
Time to go deeper into wildwood living with an array of different
activities from the bushcraft syllabus. This time, we will
get to grips with fire by friction and work with fixed
blade knives on some more woodcraft projects. There’ll
be an opportunity for making and using some traditional weapons,
sleeping in shelters and generally enjoying the craic around
the campfire. Nocturnal shenanigans, mischief and tomfoolery
will also feature in a high-spirited encounter with danger!
The activities on this camp are most suitable for boys aged
6yrs and older.
We will provide evening meals and a simple breakfast as well
as teas and coffee, but you will need to bring
food for your own lunches. Cooking utensils,
big pots and pans will be provided and there is a large campfire,
plus a small gas stove for back up.
Course Leader - Alex Travers ('Feathers') has

Brown Jnr's Tracker School. With a degree in the creative arts
Alex brings a lot of spontaneity to his teaching and shares
his passion for the skills of living with the earth and the
simple joys that they bring.
Location: This camp will take place at a
