A delicious springtime experience of the natural world!
Einstein's definition of education was the "growth of wonderment",
and this course aims to bring a sense of awe and wonder through
a 'soft-focus' study of the natural world.
The course offers a relaxed pace to enjoy the natural wonders
of the wildwood in Spring. It’s a chance to get away
from the stresses and strains of everyday life, to slow down,
and to attune to the rhythms of nature, the fireside and
of camp-life. We will offer some structured sessions of sensory
awareness, tracking and natural history, and there will also
be time for some
wildlife observation with some focus on bird language.
A series of dynamic, thoroughly enjoyable exercises will open
up our senses to receive nature's gifts, bringing us inevitably
closer to our own, true nature. A combination of naturalist
activity, arts interpretation, sensory awareness and traditional
storytelling will feature in an enlivening weekend of discovery
and delight. Walks in the countryside will never be the same
again!
The content of the event will vary according to interests,
ages and abilities but will include the following:
- Sensory Awareness
- Creative Interpretation
- Fieldcraft & Bushcraft
- Traditional Storytelling
Cost: £155 Adults/kids come free – includes evening
meals.
2-3 person tents are available for hire at £5/tent per
night, if required.
This event will take place at a woodland site near Moretonhampstead,
Dartmoor.
