Immerse yourself in a beautiful wildwood
setting with artist and naturalist Martin
Prothero and draw
inspiration from the natural world. This course is new to the
WildWise programme and something of a rare event.
With a foundation of fireside discussions about art (contemporary
and classical) you'll have the opportunity to create whatever
you want from found materials in the woodland. There will be
plenty of time to research the site, consider your approach
and spend time immersed or you could simply throw yourself
into whatever inspires you.
Although this course is focused on art and nature, you needn't
be an artist to participate. Come along and be inspired or
just enjoy spending quality time focused on the delights of
the natural setting. The pace will encourage a peaceful, contemplative
approach and there is no pressure to finish a masterpiece!
At the finale of the course we will all visit each others'
work, take photographs and hold a discussion about the pieces
made (large or small).
